Sheila Scioneaux loved to watch her mom cook as she was growing up. She was filled with inspiration and a love for cooking, she even started creating recipes at a very young age. Sheila’s dream of this Jumbalaya mix started many years ago, although, she waited until after she was retired for a couple of years to get it started.
Sheila began gathering all the seasonings together to create the first batch of Jumbalaya. She entrusted her family and friends to test the recipe and provide feedback. After just a few tweaks, Sheila’s Quick and Easy Jumbalaya was ready to go!
In August of 2022, Sheila was visiting Andrea, her daughter, in Oklahoma, and as Sheila prepared the Jumbalaya, Andrea filmed the process with her sweet little grand-girls so attentive; watching and taking it all in.
As soon as the video was posted on Facebook, the requests for Sheila’s Quick and Easy Jumbalaya came flooding in. This was the beginning of something wonderful.
After moving to Texas from South Louisiana, one of my first experiences involving my love of cooking Cajun food was to enter a “Gumbo Cook-off” in Anhalt, Texas. I was beyond excited to earn a 1st place award.
Since then, Sheila has been a vendor at an array of outdoor markets, every weekend. Her product line has expanded; finding its way into Groomer’s Seafood Market, and, Schott’s Meat Market; here in San Antonio.
Sheila will be forever grateful for all the support she has received from her family and special friends Patsy and Miles. A special shout out to Miles who helped Sheila introduce her product line into the first store in Beeville, Texas.
Sheila’s dream of selling her Quick and Easy meal mixes has come true and she is super thankful to God for guiding and protecting her, as well as her business with continued success and growth!
